About Us

Moumita Roy, PhD

Moumita Roy lives in New Canaan, Connecticut with her husband and two kids. The search for knowledge would remain a driving force through her life from childhood. As a young woman, she traveled to distant places to study ethno-medicine and ecology of the forest in the hills of Himalayan region. Her graduate studies included intensive work in plant biochemistry, ethno-medicine  established her reputation as a plant scientist and began to work at a prominent research institute. She received her Ph.D in Ecology and Plant sciences. Her book was published and referred at Universities for Graduate and Post graduate studies along with her scientific publications. Her other research topic was to understand people and nature’s relationship among forest dwellers and she gained a significant amount of indigenous knowledge while travelling different places across the world. Her knowledge in human physiology, biochemistry, and plant sciences helped her to conduct more research on Ayurveda Shastra. She has over 20 years of experience to guide people through the Ayurvedic lifestyle and diet. She takes classes and conducts workshops in her spare time at different non-profit organizations.

Monika Manohar,BAMS

Monika Manohar is a classically trained Ayurveda Physician from Dr MGR University India. She has worked as clinic head for Madhavbaug Ayurvedic Cardiac Clinic, which specializes in treating cardiac patients with Ayurvedic therapies and lifestyle management. She has also worked with Rvita Ayurveda and Yoga Center as clinic administrator providing Panchakarma for different ailments including obesity, skin disorders, and stress management. She is passionate about maintenance of health by the practice Ayurveda in daily life. She specializes in providing a holistic approach for maintaining health, and her philosophy of healing revolves around diet, yoga, meditation, and detoxification.

Yuki Nakamichi

Yuki Nakamichi is a New York licensed Aesthetician who has been utilizing aromatherapies to retrieve beautifying power. She 

was a health coach for a highly regarded weight management program and helped many people reach their optimal weight. The most remarkable weight loss by her coaching was 60 Ibs within 8 months. However, despite making so much progress, most of clients could not keep the weight off.  She began to pursue how to help people more effectively, and happened upon the practice of Ayurveda through the Ayurvedic Health Science program at Natural Healing College. She has also become a meditation teacher for the center of meditation science. She has a strong conviction that the timeless science of Ayurveda is the way to transform people’s lives.

David Maclain

David is a board certified Acupuncturist in New York and Connecticut and nationally certified as a diplomate in Acupuncture by the NCCAOM.  David is a graduate of Tristate College of Acupuncture and is also a Reiki Master.  He teaches meditation at the Newport Academy.  He provides unique "AccuFacial" and pain management therapies to the clients
